Preconstruction Planning

We believe the best projects start with detailed planning. Our preconstruction services include cost estimating, scheduling, scope of work development, budget preparation and value engineering. But we go beyond the basics and relentlessly scrutinize the plans and specifications to find extra value for our clients.

Architectural
Modelling

We review and evaluate initial vs. long term costs associated with energy and water use efficiency, in addition to intangible issues such as staff productivity and wellness. For example, Orn can perform life-cycle cost analysis on different energy efficiency measures to calculate which options are the most effective over the life of the equipment. We also offer suggestions for alternative systems and/or material suppliers who may be able to provide lower pricing and suggest subcontractors to procure and install the products.

Construction
Management

Prior to the start of a project, ORN develops a “Means & Methods Statement” as a road map for the success of the project. This “build it on paper first” approach prior to groundbreaking, addresses logistical concerns and coordination issues prior to the development of a schedule — saving time and money.

Chief Executive Officer

Olindo Nocito founded ORN Corp. in 1987 with three employees, including himself. Since then, he has grown his company into one of the largest and most successful construction companies in Connecticut with operations in New York, Connecticut and Florida.

He has worked on and managed projects ranging from retail interiors and renovation projects to public safety buildings, retirement communities and corporate complexes. As President/CEO, Olindo is focused on the company’s regional growth, client satisfaction and the company brand.

Olindo is a member of many construction industry related organizations. His portfolio includes office, retail, medical, airport, K-12 and historical projects with an expanded resume of commercial multifamily projects. He has successfully directed, from conceptual site planning and budgeting, through design, to turnover and occupancy, over 12,000 multifamily units including apartments, townhome communities, and condominium/mixed-use retail projects using such construction methods as tunnel form, conventional masonry and concrete, wood framing and prefabricated concrete panels. Mr. Nocito's current focus is the construction and management of single family residential homes only.
